Micaela is Italian. She a native of the lake Maggiore area where she lives. She was born and raised at the foot of the Alps that surround this gorgeous lake. Having lived and studied in England, she speaks English fluently and she also taught English in her home country for many years.
Not only is Micaela a true local with a deep knowledge of the surrounding areas, but she is also a professionally certified tour guide for Stresa, Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. She's been working as a guide for over 20 years and that has enabled her to acquire expertise and competences.
She is fully qualified to lead one-day tours, guided excursions or multi-day tours as a local tour guide as well as a tour director and hiking guide.
Micaela has three different professional guiding licences:
Local Tour Guide License that allows her to plan itineraries and guide to places of cultural, historical and religious interest in the area of Lake Maggiore, lake Orta and Stresa
Tour Manager License that allows her to accompany tourists and groups everywhere in Italy and abroad handling all the logistics and all travel details and providing general information
Hiking Guide / Naturalist Guide License that allows her to plan itineraries and accompany tourists on guided walks and hiking tours through protected areas, regional parks, high mountain sceneries, hills and rural areas
